AutoRaise multi-skilled apprenticeship standard sign off

AutoRaise can now engage with training providers to plan delivery of the pioneering apprenticeship standard.

AutoRaise are delighted to announce that, after months of dialogue, numerous DfE relationship management changes, a handful of government and policy changes – and the migration of Trailblazer responsibility from the DfE to the newly formed Institute of Apprenticeships – AutoRaise are the first to have finally achieved sign off for their Multi Skilled Apprenticeship Standard “end point assessment plan”.

This means that the AutoRaise team can now fully engage with training providers up and down the country to plan delivery of the standard.

There will be a short delay whilst AutoRaise challenge their allocated funding band of £9,000 but, with the precedent of successful challenges in our sector already set, this is expected to be a formality.

“We are very excited that we can continue building the national training provider footprint for the Multi Skilled Apprenticeship Standard,” said Chris Oliver, AutoRaise Trustee. “We are in dialogue with many providers but this sign-off will enable us to accelerate those discussions to the point where delivery of the standard becomes a reality in time for the start of the next academic year.”

The multi skilled approach has been adopted by numerous Repairers up and down the country and a number of training organisations have already committed to deliver this to their Repairer clients.

This, coupled with active interest from a couple of vehicle manufacturers, should well and truly place this standard, which was created by Repairers for Repairers in the middle of the Vehicle Repair sector.

“It will also underpin the AutoRaise charity’s approach to support employers’ recruitment and development of young people to help address the skills crisis,” said Bob Linwood, AutoRaise CEO.

It’s essential that the industry gets behind addressing the skills shortage, whether it be taking on new apprentices, hosting Industry Showcase Events or simply helping to spread the word.
